🦌Nara Deer Park in Japan is absolutely incredible!
It’s just a 45 minute train ride outside Kyoto. A pack of biscuits is just 200 Yen, and the deer are very friendly, but can get a little nippy once they know you have biscuits. 😅

A little about Nara’s history per the town’s travel guide:
Nara Park is a sprawling area, and part of it includes the grounds of Kasuga Taisha Shrine. The shrine is dedicated to Takemi Kajichi no Mikoto, who, according to legend, arrived in Nara riding a sacred deer from Kashima Shrine in Ibaraki Prefecture—a place whose name also includes the character for “deer.” This story led to deer being seen as sacred animals, considered helpers of the gods, and they’ve been protected for centuries. Today, Nara’s deer are still cherished and safeguarded as “natural monuments.”

I can see why this area is a must-see if you make it to Kyoto, Japan! 🇯🇵

The JP Tower in Azabudai Hills in Tokyo is amazing! The 34th floor has a gorgeous observation deck! It’s 500 yin plus the cost of at least one item per person at the cafe to enter the observation area, and it’s so worth it! 🇯🇵🗼📸
